Welcoming New Members to the Taos Charter School Community

We welcome our new staff members to the TCS community.  Thank you to the recruitment team who worked into the summer to welcome these professionals.  New staff members will be available for communication starting on August 5th.  Until then, please direct communication to the Director, Jeremy Jones at jjones@taoscharterschool.org.

Erin Barksdale, Third Grade:  Erin brings a wealth of experience in science and math.  She will also be teaming up with K-5 staff to implement our new Amplify CKLA Reading program and Corrective Reading intervention.  

Kristen Rivera, Fourth Grade:  Kristen is a veteran teacher with a passion for supporting all students including those with learning disabilities and other special needs.  She will be a true asset for the TCS community.

Amy Long, Special Education:  Amy is a veteran teacher with diverse teaching experiences across the field of special education including supporting students with learning, cognitive, and behavioral special needs. 

Laura Navarro, Spanish: Laura has taught language in classrooms around the world and joins us as our core Bilingual and Multicultural Education Program (BMEP) teacher.
