Friday Folders go home tomorrow; here are the things to look for: I introduced the “Guess My Number” game in class this week. The homework is to play the game at home. Directions are in folders.
We’ve finished unit 5 in our reading curriculum. Students will have a test on the material on Tuesday. Our next unit is called, “Let’s Play”. Students will have the opportunity to explore all of the different ways we can play using creativity and our imaginations. Students will also learn about playing together and fostering good friendships.
If you have not already, please sign up for donating concession items or volunteer hours through the following links for the upcoming basketball tournament. I’m hoping to have a great turn-out from kindergarten and 1st grade families! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0d4caaa928a31-tcsbasketballhttp://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0d4caaa928a31-tcsbasketball1
Also, Jonathan’s father, Paul Mondragon has volunteered as the PTO class representative for our class. I would like to have your permission to share your phone numbers with him so that he can be in contact with you about the basketball tournament as well as other upcoming PTO events. If you prefer your information NOT be shared, please let me know by Wednesday, Feb. 17th.
As part of my annual evaluation as an educator, I’m required to have parents fill out a survey. It’s very important that I have 100% parent participation for this. When you have time please take a minute to complete the survey. The office has asked that all surveys be completed by the end of the month.
I apologize for the overload of information this week.
Enjoy the pictures of the 100th day. Each child is taking home a 100th Day book to have as a kindergarten keepsake.
Have an excellent long weekend.
