Homework Week of October 28
October 28, 2013
2nd Grade Families,
The literacy homework for this week is lesson 4 of the Storytown practice book. The pages to be completed are 22-28. Please make sure your child has now completed all pages through 28. I have noticed that some students are only doing a few pages of the lesson, and not all of it. Also, if there are any corrections that have not been made in previous lessons, please have your student do so at this time. The homework is due back on Thursday, October 31st. The reading log is also due back on Thursday since we do not have school on Friday. This weeks reading log has gone home today. Math homework will go home on Thursday and is due back on Monday, November 4th.
*There is no school on Friday, November 1st due to teacher professional day.
*We will be having a Halloween party in class on October 31st. It will be from 12:30-1:30. Students may bring their costume to school and they will have time to dress up. They may NOT wear costumes to school in the morning. Weapons of any kind are NOT allowed (swords, guns, knives, etc.). There will be a school wide parade at 1:30. Please refer to the email regarding Halloween if you have any questions. If you did not sign up to help out at the party or provide a nutritious snack and would like to do so, please contact me.
Thank you to those who have been in for conferences and for taking the time to meet with me to discuss your child’s progress. I look forward to a productive and fun second quarter. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
