Sixth Grade Sends Two Students onto Regional Science Fair
Emma Olsen and Mattias Donaldson will present their Science Fair projects in Las Vegas at the Regional Science Fair, March 3. Emma's project looked at the effects of differences in air pressure. She researched the field of meteorology and learned how differences in air pressure cause air movement, precipitation, and even violent weather like hurricanes and tornadoes. Mattias compared the insulating qualities of different recyclable materials. His research looked at the market needs for home insulating materials, R-factors, and availability and viability of alternative insulating materials currently going into landfills.
Congratulations to ALL sixth grade students who presented projects, papers, and lab reports! Science Fair is a major undertaking that becomes easier each time.
