Week of November 28, 2011

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving break.

Thanks to Maria Meadowcroft for volunteering to be our Reading Ranger this Tuesday.

Also, thanks to Mia Faulquier for her weekly help with our library check-out time.  It is an immense help to us to have a parent check books in and out.  Thanks, Mia!

We will be starting a new math unit this week, with continued work on flash cards for addition, subtraction, and multiplication at home and in our spare moments.  I am very impressed with how hard every student is working to master these skills.

Our unit on folktales is going very well.  Students are learning to identify the essential elements of a folktale and will soon be writing an original folktale to be shared.
